Dr. Marilyn Horta’s research interest is in characterizing developmental trajectories of social cognition and health-related behaviors, which includes identifying potential age-related deficits and ways to optimize function in these domains. Her current work examines social and non-social decision-making as well as substance use risk among older adults with and without chronic pain. She is also affiliated with the Center for Advancing Minority Pain and Aging Science and Pain Research and Intervention Center of Excellence.
