Reese Chadwick’s research interests focus on understanding social cognition, aging, facial perception, and developmental change. She is particularly interested in how humans perceive others and make judgments based on facially communicated social cues like gaze, and emotion. She is currently preparing to begin her PhD with the long-term goal of becoming a developmental researcher and aims to investigate how cognitive and emotional processes change from early life through older adulthood, and how these changes impact real-world decision-making, relationships, and wellbeing. To do so, she aims to utilize interdisciplinary methods from behavioral experiments to more physiological approaches such as neuroimaging and eye-tracking.
