Dr. Mengdi Zhu’s research lies in applied artificial intelligence, with particular focus on generative models, multimodal learning, computer vision, and image processing. Her work seeks to design AI systems that can interpret and combine information from multiple sources, enabling more flexible, adaptive, and impactful applications.
Looking ahead, Dr. Zhu is expanding her research to explore how multimodal and generative approaches can enhance the robustness and creativity of intelligent systems. She aims to broaden her methodological toolkit while advancing applications that support innovation in automation, healthcare, and human–computer interaction.
