Kylie’s research interests focus on how pharmacological interventions influence biological and behavioral processes in older age. She is particularly interested in the effects of repeated pharmacological manipulation, including intranasal oxytocin and prescription ketamine, on stress, inflammation, pain, and cognitive functioning in aging. Her work aims to better understand how these interconnected processes change with age and how clinical interventions may modify trajectories of cognitive, physical, and psychological health. Currently, Kylie is working as part of research team delineating the longitudinal effects of prescribed ketamine on cognition and brain structure, function, and chemistry in older adults, as well as the role of oxytocin in regulating stress, inflammation, and chronic pain-related processes in aging.
